Four types of a second house.
Kohottaa is a new practice. These studies describe the standalone ADUs we take on — types, sizes, and county notes — rather than a catalog of past commissions. If you recognize your lot in one of these, that is the conversation to start.

New standalone ADU
480–850 sf
The Garden House
A compact new dwelling at the back of the lot — private entry, its own light, a short walk from the main house.

New standalone ADU
500–900 sf
The Path House
A new building reached by a short path — set back from the main house, with its own door and its own light.

Agricultural / historic
500–1,200 sf
The Barn Room
A new rural type for Weber County lots that do not want a miniature copy of the main house.

Compact studio
350–500 sf
The Studio Lot
The smallest complete new dwelling: one room well made, a kitchen, a bath, a courtyard.
