The Studio Lot

Not every ADU needs a bedroom door. A studio plan — living, cooking, and sleeping in one volume — can be the most generous small building on a tight lot.

We use height and light instead of extra rooms: a clerestory, a courtyard, a deep window. Storage is designed, not leftover. The bath is a proper room. The kitchen is a wall that works.

If the city minimum is 300 or 400 square feet, we design to it without making the building feel like the minimum.
